Smooth Sailing
Today was another great day. I anticipated some melt downs but so far there have been none. ( knocking on wood.)
Even on day two the kiddos are picking up on our routines and ” rules.”
We did divide them into two groups today . Eight went outside to play while eight did circle time and small group and then we switched. Doing this really cuts the chaos down a little.
We used stickers to decorate our names today. One of the quickest ways for children to learn letters is to teach them the ones that are important to them like the ones in their name or in the names of their friends.
We also read another book about a raccoon that went to school. His name was Timothy. There was another child in his room that wasnt nice to him. His name was Claude . We talked about our new friends at school and tried to remember some of their names and how important it is that we always be kind.
