Pumpkin Painting
Today I set out an invitation or a provocation. This is an activity a teacher sets out to provoke curiosity or wonder. Of course there are learning goals or skill objectives.
Today our provocation was “can you paint a pumpkin?” It’s a lot different than giving a child a coloring sheet and telling him to choose an orange crayon.
We learned last week that pumpkins come in many colors and shapes.
Today’s interpretations we wonderful.
We also celebrated Hazel turning 5!
And other excitement today was a spider hanging from a tree
And delicious cookies from Hinslee’s mom. Yum.
Some people have terrible Monday’s. Not us. It was a glorious day. ❤️
