Today we did an activity that allowed us to look at directions ( visual ) and listen to directions ( auditory ) and draw a horse. I was pleasantly surprised at how many of the drawings really did end up looking like a horse !
Of course Kat loved horses she so immediately went to work free handing her own horse art.
We also made a horse puppet. The lacing the yarn on and tying it in a knot was a little hard for many of the kids. For almost all the 1st year preschoolers I had to tie them but I did encourage them to get the yarn through the hole. This is great fine motor work which helps us be better writers !
We drove tractors through pretend green grass ( paint ) .
We also got a little screen time today watching a non-fiction show on Netflix about farms. The story told about the machinery they use and many other things you find on a farm. This was a perfect ending to a crazy rainy day indoors.
The kids LOVED the pepperoni pizza panini’s at lunch today. ( Two slices of bread, pizza sauce, mozzarella cheese and pepperoni – grill it in a panini grill or make just like you would grilled cheese sandwich ! )
