Homemade apple sauce anyone?

>

Today we made home- made applesauce. As the kids were coming in I was sitting at their table paring apples. They loved watching me core the apples. Then, we put them in the crock pot to cook all day. We are hoping the applesauce is ready to eat at snack time.

We played a game today called ” musical apple.” We all sat in a circle and passed an apple around the circle while the music played. When the music stopped whoever was holding the apple had to stand up and say ” A is for apple. A A A “. The kids loved it. The best games for children this age are no- winner games !

Next week we will continue to talk about apples as we come up on Johnny Appleseeds birthday.
