Validation ❤️
We have a visitor each Thursday. She is a speech therapist. She is new to us. I enjoy her. She does her job the way it should be done in early childhood. Today she said “ I love coming here. I could stay here all day. It’s so peaceful ( 😵💫🤷🏻♀️🤣) the children are allowed to explore and problem solve and work out solutions together instead of having someone tell them where they can go.- What they can say. They don’t have someone over them all day making them just listen. I just love it.”
It really made me feel good. I say it’s calm here too. It’s a weird – busy and sometimes loud calm – but there is a peace because they are playing and engaged. I loved that she could see what my goals as a teacher are and she verbalized what they are not.
