Rain and Pumpkins
Today the children asked to start the day outside. Why not ? We stayed outside through four or five rain showers. There was no lightening so it was safe. I hope the children remember days like this.
Then we came inside to carve our pumpkin. We predicted what we thought was inside.
We stuck our hands inside the pumpkin. Some of us liked it. Some did not. Some were not even interested in trying.
We roasted the seeds and will have them for snack
We watched a virtual field trip to a pumpkin patch on YouTube. We found out one very interesting thing about pumpkin plants. Ask your child if they remember. ( We need bees to pollinate the flowers on the plants or the pumpkin won’t grow.)
