What’s With the Fairy Lights?
Before Christmas I ordered two new sets of fairy lights. I LOVE fairy lights in our room.
I think the aesthetic of a room can be as important as materials placed for learning. It’s just another piece to the puzzle that creates a beautiful learning environment.
As I hung the lights today I had many curious onlookers. They wanted to know what I was doing. When I finished they stood and stared. You could tell the lights brought them joy.
If I am staying in a room all day I want something I too enjoy looking at. Think about Christmas lights. You know that awesome feeling you get sitting on the couch drinking a cup of cocoa with twinkling lights ? It’s like that – only add 8 little monkeys running around giggling. ❤️
When I finished with the first set I asked Jazmine where the second set should go. She preferred the atelier – art room. That’s where I put it.
Children deserve beauty as well as functionality.
