Messy Colors
Today started with a bang and Randy fell down the steps. He was carrying breakfast down and missed the last step and landed in the floor. Of course I was in the drop off-line so I did not see any of it. He’s ok !!
I put out several different invitations of things to play with today.
Many of them were new. The kids were excited.
Sometimes things don’t go as planned. I put pipe cleaners In the tub with tiny beads- fully expecting them to sort the beads onto the corresponding colors. No, they were all about just making necklaces for themselves or their moms. That’s OK. I know they know how to sort by color and this gave them great fine motor practice while having fun.
Pretty much with all of the materials I set out today the children were mainly sensory seeking. They loved the feel of the oobleck , the water beads and the plastic beads as they ran their whole hands through it.
