We did a lot of scientific experiences today. I don’t usually call them experiments with the kids because we are in it more for the experience and the language that takes place. I’m not needing them to draw a hypothesis of why something happened at this point in their development. We are just having fun and exposing ourselves to reactions and actions.
We started our day with a fun activity that I usually do for St. Patrick’s Day during our leprechaun hunt. We painted our toast.
The kids really enjoyed this. It’s a great activity for home. We just put a little milk in a cup with food coloring and gave them Q-tips
We also re-created the our mixing activity we saw on YouTube yesterday.
And we did the skittles experiment where you put skittles on a plate in a circle and add warm water and let the colors merge.
Of course they got to eat a few when we were finished.
