Today we took a walk in the neighborhood with color swatches in hand looking for shades of colors that match. As we looked at nature we talked about colors that were darker or lighter than our swatch.
The color we struggled with the most was distinguishing light green. Some called it white. Others called it blue.
It was a beautiful day for a walk. We met a few new neighbors and were invited back to see her chickens and rabbit.
We found a lot of the colors we were looking for.
We also revisited our floor book we started last year.
I completed the last two assessments for children that were absent for part of our assessment days
And we read a book called the noisy paintbox. It is a book based on the life of the famous artist can Diskey
Then we created abstract art while listening to Beethoven.
I think they understood the difference between abstract art and Representational art
