I was in most of the morning before taking Randy to a doctors appointment.  He has another kidney stone.  :/  We had some fun before Ms Dallas and MS Melissa took over the fun.

We made Cake in a Cup .

Here is a recipe .  If you have never tried this you should. It is great for someone that wants a quick easy dessert but doesnt want the temptation ( or mess ) of a whole cake in the house.

Sugar Cookie in a Cup

created by Melissa at No. 2 Pencil

1 Tablespoon of Butter

2 Tablespoon of Granulated White Sugar

1/4 Teaspoon of Pure Vanilla Extract

Small pinch of Salt

Yolk of one Egg

3 Tablespoons of All-Purpose Flour

Colored Sugar for sprinkling

Melt butter in microwave, then add sugar, vanilla and salt and stir together. Add one egg yolk and stir again. Add flour and stir a final time.  Sprinkle cookie dough with colored sugar, and heat in microwave for about 45 seconds. Start checking for doneness at 40 seconds.

Serve warm and enjoy!

The kids also used stickers to decorate a Christmas tree !  Exercising those little fingers to become better writers !

I also heard that the kids were a little late laying down because they were enjoying singing with Ms Mellissa so much .

If you heard any of the kids say Ms Debbie’s wall was leaking today – it was.  🙁  We have ice damming damage.  It started yesterday.  I have called someone to come look at the roof . He will be here tomorrow but it may not get fixed until the weather dries up.  When it rains… (  or freezes ) it pours.
