A Day of First

>Today was our first day painting ! The kids LOVED the easel. REMINDER….. wear junk clothes. We wear smocks but somehow they always get it on them.

Today was our first Muffin Tin Monday. Each Monday we serve finger foods in a muffin tin.

Today was our first day to write in journals. We will do this each day . It is just a notebook that the kids can write / draw whatever they would like. It is interesting to watch them go through the stages of writing development .

Today was our first nap time. So far …. so good. 🙂

I am so glad I found your blog!! We are just alike…I work for a center based preschool but we are also government funded through the ABC program…we also have to have agreed upon curriculum..and right now we use adventure in learning also!! I love it..i love the literacy of it…i also am trying to find some way to introduce more of the "teaching" part..the abc's , 123's, colors, shapes…all the things they need to know to start Kindergarten…the school district we are in has very high standards and these kids are supposed to be able to know more than what they should ….so i am trying to find a good middle ground. The link in your post didn't work…so i am going to try to find what this blog hopping is about!!!
