One of the highlights of our day was when the children had the opportunity to work collaboratively on a special project. They were tasked with decorating the letters for our upcoming art show sign.
Each letter turned out to be unique, as the children had the freedom to decide how they wanted to decorate their assigned letter.
It was truly amazing to see their creativity shine through as they proudly shared their reasoning behind their design choices. For example, one child decorated the letter ‘S’ because her name starts with s. While another child chose to decorate the letter ‘R’ with vibrant rainbow colors.
Due to the unpredictable weather, we had to spend most of our day indoors engaging in various indoor activities. However, there were a few windows of opportunity where the rain subsided, and we could have ventured outside. In hindsight, we probably should have taken advantage of those moments.
In other exciting news, the workers finished the bunk room this morning and signed off on everything. The children had the unique opportunity to witness the transformation of the room from bare wood slats to the completion of white sheet rock to painted walls and no holes in the floor
We are looking forward to adding accessories and decorations to the room before the school year ends, so the children can fully appreciate the finished product.
I couldn’t help but reminisce about the sleepovers I used to organize for my preschool children. It made me wonder if perhaps we should consider reinstating the tradition. It could be a fun and memorable experience for the children, creating lasting memories with their friends.🥹
