Today, I decided to engage the children in a STEM activity. STEM, which stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics, is a hands-on approach to learning that encourages critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Our chosen activity involved using popsicle sticks to create innovative structures. Some of the children showed great enthusiasm and were successful in building impressive designs. However, we also encountered some who struggled to grasp the assignment fully. Nonetheless, we believe that every attempt contributes to their growth and understanding of STEM concepts.
A special shoutout to Hazels dad for his kind assistance in putting the new sand in our containers.
While we didn’t have a cooking activities today, we had a unique food experience. Understanding the importance of involving children in meal preparation, I decided to let the children assist in serving their breakfast. Research has shown that when children participate in the preparation of food, they are more likely to try new things.
