What a wonderful day it has been at our preschool! As the children arrived, their faces lit up with happiness, and I couldn’t help but feel an immense joy seeing them back in our familiar space. I must confess, I love routine almost as much as I love rest and vacation. And today, I had an exciting day planned for our little ones.
This week, we will be busy with Easter crafts and activities. We have some amazing projects to finish, and I must admit, I too get caught up in the holiday spirit. But rest assured, if any activity is not enjoyable for the children, we always make sure to switch gears. It is heartwarming to see the pride in their eyes when they create something with their tiny hands.
Today, we embarked on a special project – a canvas Easter bunny. Instead of using paper and crayons or markers, we decided to create art that is more durable and can be cherished for years to come. The children did a directed drawing with paint on a canvas, and we will continue adding more details to the picture each day. By Thursday, the masterpiece will be ready to go home with your child.
I must admit, selfishly, I would love to keep these for an art show, but I also want you all to enjoy them during the holidays and make them a part of your Easter tradition.
In addition to our canvas bunny, we also did another craft inspired by a Pinterest find – an Easter bunny made out of an egg carton.
The children had the freedom to choose the color of their bunnies, draw the details, and I helped cut out the ears. We added a touch of vintage lace on the frame, and I must say, the end result is absolutely adorable. I hope you love it as much as I do.
Today was meant to be Waffle Day in celebration of International Waffle Day. However, despite our best efforts, the waffle maker didn’t cooperate. But fret not, we will give it another try tomorrow. Sometimes, even the best-laid plans have a little hiccup, but that’s all part of the fun and learning experience.
At one point this morning , I had to pause and take a deep breath, overwhelmed with gratitude for the wonderful Preschool family we have. Our days are filled with love, laughter, and learning, and I am incredibly thankful for the opportunity to spend each day with your precious kiddos. They bring so much joy to our preschool, and I look forward to the adventures that each new day brings.
Thank you for entrusting us with your children’s early education. It is a privilege and a joy to be a part of their growth and development.
