Today is national cherry pie day. We had it written on our calendar, so of course we had to make cherry pie.
Avery and Lucy worked hard using our child safe knives to cut our butter in small squares. Yes, there are two sticks of butter in this recipe.
Graham and Tatum helped us spread the cake mix on the top of the fruit for our cherry dump cake.
Today was also taste it Tuesday and the children were encouraged to try some hummus on their plate at lunch.
And of course we’re still digging into our investigation of blocks. Last week we added literacy and signage.
I challenged the children to use our large blocks outside to continue their building after I left for the transition conference. I can’t wait to see Brittany’s pictures to see if they actually followed through.
