Writing
When children become interested in writing it just happens. Today Lucy drew this very detailed picture of a snowman , her family and snow ( Because that’s what we are all talking about.). I showed three of the girls how to draw snowflakes with an x and. T. They had no idea they were drawing letters – they were drawing snow!
Later in the morning journey ( who has hated writing or drawing of any kind ) joined the fun.
And then Sandy decided to draw. She hasn’t quite decided which is her prominent hand yet. That’s ok – she’s 3
Writing happens naturally when a child is ready. All we have to do is offer opportunities and wonder.
