Many centers limit the number of children that can play in any given center. ( play area.) There are a number of reasons “ people” say that there should only be ( let’s say 4 ) children in this area. If there are more there might not be enough materials for engaging play. When it’s overcrowded there might be conflict.
The last reason that some people limit children in a center is the number one reason I don’t. If I go around all day fixing my environment so there’s no conflict how do children learn conflict resolution? When I am present and engaged I can help give children the language to resolve differences.
That’s important To me.
It’s more important than deciding how many people can play in the block center.
