Coloring Sheets or No?
You guys hear me preach about allowing children continual access to art materials and blank paper. We have LOTS of that. Today Avery and Lucy were having a “let’s follow Debbie” day and I needed them to settle for a moment. I said “ Do you want to color a Christmas tree?” The both beamed and said “ YES!” We printed one out and they got busy. Was it harmful ? Absolutely not! They have spent much time with free art developing fine motor skills.
Activities like this one today help them be ready to hold and skillfully use writing materials
I would say they nailed it!
