So many early education facilities run on schedules. Sometimes those schedules are tight and not flexible. That’s the amazing thing about homes. We can dance to the rhythm of the children.
Before going inside today we noticed a cicada emerging from its shell . It was on the tree we all stand under in the drop off line. We were amazed – including me!
We delayed breakfast a few minutes long enough to go into you tube to research the life cycle of a cicada. We found out the cicada is born on a tree ( the makes get together and sing ) and then crawls under the earth for 2-17 years. WHAT?? So the cicada we saw on the tree was 2-17 years OLD . So many interesting facts.
Ms Elizabeth came to play. I am still home ( nap time ) but suspect I’ll leave when the kids are asleep. I have such amazing friends! ( Ms Beth brought lunch.!)
After playing outside a while we came inside and i introduced the paint / easel area. Half of the children got to give it a whirl today. Tomorrow our other friends will try.
