Back in the Saddle
Here we are! It’s a new year. With every car door I opened today I took a breathe wishing you , your little (and myself) well. As luck ( or the feeling of family and safety) wound have it – everyone was happy to be back.
We had a great day just reconnecting and playing.
Sone of the kids discovered the science center today and started playing with the materials there.
Others found comfort in getting back to business and doing their usual.
Benjamin’s funding ended so his last day was before break. I knew Yael would struggle a little with his buddy being gone but he gave a lot of effort today to begin building stronger relationships with the other boys. He’s going to be ok. What a great lesson to learn in pre-k. Sometimes we lose friends for a multitude of reasons but with resilience we can make new ones if supported in a safe environment.
It really was a good day.
