Some early childhood programs seem to build their curriculum around the holidays, just going from one to the other on the calendar. We don’t take that approach. We are just as likely to celebrate Dr Suess birthday with green eggs and ham as we are to chase that silly leprechaun around town in search of his gold. Most of our holiday traditions are solely to create amazing memories for the littles.
We like to honor the traditions you are building with your family. Friday we are walking to the cafe to decorate cookies and another day Madison will be coming to make salt dough ornaments with the children. Do you have a Christmas tradition you would like to share with us? We believe in the importance of family traditions and holidays in strengthening the connection between home and school.
We encourage each of you as families to join us in our celebrations. Even if you can’t be with us share your family recipes or items that reflect your families history.
Obviously one of our traditions is making keep sake ornaments.
Here’s a tip. When making memories with the littles don’t start the dish water and forget it.
