Is Mr Randy Better?
This morning Randy was in the kitchen starting the chicken in the instant pot for me. Lately that help hasn’t come as often. But the kids heard him in the kitchen and poked their head around the corner. “Is Mr Randy better ?“
It’s funny because Randy used to spend as much time with the kids as I do. The past two years have been different with his cancer diagnosis and now Covid. Here’s what I’ve figured out – the children that returned or had siblings here have heard stories about Mr Randy and feel like they know him.
A couple days ago I heard him in the hallway doing a magic trick. He takes his finger off. Have you seen that trick ?
Today I text him from the porch and said it’s beautiful out here you should get some sun . He came outside and immediately all the children were surrounding him. Graham was explaining that his name is graham crackers. Trae was feeding him “ice cream” from the Playhouse. Lucy was saying “ are you better today ?”
We are a preschool family. it warms my heart that our littles are so compassionate.
