It’s a Bird
Today is national bird day. There’s really no significance other than that you know we put things on our calendar that we can look forward to or count up to. This also helps us to begin to recognize letters in a meaningful way. Instead of teaching bird begins with B – in isolation – every day when we look at the calendar they see that we are counting up to bird day and that begins with a B.
For part of the children’s fun today they made birdfeeders.
I had asked for a window birdfeeder for Christmas. The plan today was to hang that up on the kids window so we could attract birds and they could see them up close. I think the window was too cold and it would not stick so we will try that another day.
