Sadly the snow left as quickly as it came. I knew that would be the case but I banked on the fact that the children would still be curious about the ice. Sunday afternoon I prepared a little ice excavation experience.
I was on target. The littles loved trying to figure out how to get the small treasures out of the ice.
Some of the children stayed with the process for over an hour.
It gave us opportunities to talk about how ice us made. Why does it turn to water? How can we warm up our hands when they get SO cold?
Then we went outside and wonder of all wonders there was ice everywhere outside.
