Pumpkin Jack
We finally carved our pumpkin. In child led programs many times holiday exploration comes AFTER the actual holiday – because that is when they are talking about it and interested.
Today we carved and scooped and carved and scooped.
We read a book that explained the life cycle of a pumpkin 🎃

Flower
Green tiny pumpkin
Yellow pumpkin
Orange pumpkin
Then we read a book called “Pumpkin Jack”.
This book talks about a little guys pumpkin and what happens AFTER Halloween. If you don’t throw it in the trash and set it in the yard or garden and let it naturally deteriorate you might end up with pumpkin plants in the spring.
We hope so.
