We continued our mark making exploration by reading a book called “I’m not just a scribble.” I have never read the book before but I love it.
The “scribble” meets a drawing and he won’t play with him because he’s just a scribble. The Scribble talks to him about how beautiful and vibrant his colors are. Eventually he found a black and white line drawing that would play with him and they created beautiful art together.
If you’re listening pretty closely you can tie in a great modern day example of learning to accept others as they are .
We came inside and created our own scribble people.
I was really quite impressed .
The intention is for all of this mark making exploration to end up growing our confidence in using tools appropriately and create meaningful art. I would say it won’t take long. ❤️
