Flowers
With flowers sprouting up everywhere they only seem natural that we do a little bit of an investigation. We talked a bit today about what we know about flowers and what we might be curious about.
We read a book about a guy named Gus that planted a flower.
I asked which would you rather plant a flower or a vegetable? My mind is blown. Almost all said vegetables.
When I asked later why they had chosen vegetables they said things like “ because they are healthy” , “because I’m hungry and I can eat them and I cannot eat flowers”, and “because I like carrots.” Good answers !
We went on a walk around three blocks with the intention of finding different kinds of flowers. Of course we were successful.
It was a good day. I try to make most days “yes days.” The boys got so much play on this leftover box. After it was almost smashed to smithereens they said can we paint it?… Yes, you sure can.
