Ye Ole Leprechaun Hunt
I don’t know how many years we’ve been doing our traditional leprechaun hunt. I know it’s a lot. I look forward to it each year. When I looked at the weather chart this year and noticed that it would be raining all day I just decided I did not want to cancel or postpone. I decided to make a plan for if we got to take a walk… Or if we had to stay home and hunt inside the house. I printed both sets of clues.
To be honest, a walking field trip is amazing because we get a lot accomplished in one day. We get to visit a florist and smell the flowers. We get to go in the bakery and taste the cookies. We get to go to a barber shop and see hair being cut. This year none of that could have happened because of Covid. 🙁
Today’s hunt was still fun. We still had to think and make reasonable predictions.
I love the drama surrounding this day. “Did you guys leave a mess ?” Nooooo the leprechaun did it.
We also got a little St Patrick’s day gross motor in.
We strung a rainbow 🌈 we could eat.
We did a little science experience too. Still waiting for that blue and yellow to make green.
