Small World Play
All of the children have really been into small world play. Small world play is getting tiny animals, tiny people and creating play scenes with them. They do it for hours?
This weekend Mr. Randy’s fraternity had a garage sale and he found a little peoples play house with people and all the furniture pieces. They are vintage.
We don’t have the Playhouse together yet but I decided the kids might enjoy the furniture pieces at the light table.
I was right.
Small world play creates a need for collaboration and negotiation especially when there are several dominate children.
It promotes creativity and imagination.
Children tend to work out and play what they know. Notice and Kamden’s hand or a grill .

Family is important.
Small world play goes on in the block center also.
