Trains

Today we started opening up the possibly of a train project.

though the math certainly upstaged my plans today

Though the mud certainly upstaged my plans today we were able to start the discussion of what we already know about trains and what we would like to learn. we did get a chance to talk about what the children know about trains and what they would like to know.

Tomorrow I will set out some invitations to play to see if their interest continues and what I can do to scaffold their learning during that play.

We have plans to walk and see a train since they are so close. First we have to listen for the sounds of the train and graph the days we hear them so we can make an informative decision when to make our trek across town.
