Rotating materials
Do you have toys at home that the children never touch? We are constantly looking at our environment and changing things around to keep the children engaged. One thing is for sure and works almost 100% of the time. If there is something not being used if you move it to a new spot suddenly it’s new again.
My grandson Preston has seen Santa two times now. Every time he has asked Santa for three specific things. Those three things are things that Danielle had taken from his room and sold at Rhea Lana because he was not using them anymore.  🤷🏻♀️😂
I told Holly the other day I was thinking of getting rid of our big trucks. The children rarely ever play with them. Derek and Derek would sometimes take the tractor out but the other things just sat.
Today as I looked over I noticed all of the leaves surrounding the toys that have obviously not been moved in more than a month. I pulled two of the trucks out and set them in the middle of the play yard . I straightened up the others and lined them up and cleared out some of the leaves.
Miracle of miracles they were a popular toy today.
Sometimes it just takes a little ingenuity on the side of the adult to figure out how to engage a child into a toy before deciding it is no longer useful.
Do you have toys at home that are not being played with? Do yourself a favor and move them to another area and see if they get life again.
