This morning I looked at the weather. Our days for spending extra amounts of time are quickly coming to an end. I noticed the temp was going to start dropping around 10 AM so we got it while the getting was good. The children were busy and always moving from the minute they arrived until we said it was time to clean up.
Being able to be active when your body needs it is imperative for this age group. When we find time to make that happen it makes everyone’s day better.
I don’t know if you remember in the beginning of the year when the children were looking for dinosaur bones in the dirt. From years before we had a huge cow bone it was hid in the dirt. The children are convinced if they continue to dig they will find more.
Currently there are three roots that have shown through the surface in the dirt pit. The children are convinced they are dinosaur bones and work on them often
They dig. They push. They pull.
It’s interesting to sit and listen to the stories they tell as they work to release the dinosaur bone.
Often they have to work together. Being in such a small spot leads to corporation and working out differences.
I’ll keep you updated on our excavation.
Oh yeah. We found a sliver of time to make snowmen ornaments.
