Butterflies 🦋
Last night after school was out one lone butterfly emerged. I was so excited.
By this morning 3 more butterflies had metamorphosed .
We read the Eric Carle book “The Very Hungry Caterpillar .” We used an old teaching aid to make the story a little more interactive.
After family time we put the materials on the table to play with.
On the table today was a new lot of buttons that I placed out. It was interesting to see the children interact with them. In my kitchen window is a jar of buttons. They used to be in a tin when I was a little girl. I would count , stack , sort and dream of the beautiful dresses I might make and use the buttons on. Today one of the girls did a little sorting. She said ” these are the beautiful ones .”
Everywhere you look the kids are writing and putting letters together. This one was from yesterday. Can you tell what she copied from ?
Today Jude wrote a story. He told me what to write and I did.
He wanted to add the ” two things … I wrote the story and illustrated it .”
With all the writing a drawing we also had a clock
A bracelet
And a ” phone to put in my purse .”
And a stick man made from coffee stirrers.
It was another great day.
