A Warm Winter Day
There’s nothing better to soothe the craziness of Christmas than getting to spend a day outside.
We spent the WHOLE DAY OUTSIDE!
It was amazing.
At first the kids just ran around like chicken screaming and yelling and bumping into each other and things. We even had a few minor hurts.
After a while the pace slowed and that is when the magic happens. The kids start to engage in a deeper play. They begin to form small groups with organized games and pretend scenarios. They slow down and have real back and forth conversations . Its actually pretty amazing ( and text book perfect ) to watch.
I did bring small groups in to make a sweet Christmas ornament that I picked up at Hobby Lobby . There is ZERO creativity involved in this but it will make a great keepsake for your tree.
