Today was all about learning to roll with the punches . We’ve bee scheduled to end our pond unit at the creek ( don’t judge it’s the closest thing we have to a pond within walking distance . ) This week has been a whirlwind of activity with all our extra visitors, preparing to leave again this weekend, the grant that is due , the funeral and… wow. Its been a lot. I looked at my ” to do ” on trello last night and really thought I had today under control. I had a few more MOU’s to upload for my grant but other than that and packing, Friday was going to be a normal day.
As we were finishing up breakfast and doing a little music a strange car drives up. Ohh…. we have a student observer from JBU coming today. NO PROBLEM! I forgot. We will move the park date back an hour. We settled in s
o Madison could watch us doing our normal things. One of our normal things she observed was a math game with turtles and frogs. We identified the numbers 1-12 and put them in oder.
Soon after Dallas reminded me today was Matts day. Matt c
omes each Friday for speech therapy with one of our friends. It was almost time for Mr Matt to leave when there was a knock on the front door. The tree man came by to see which trees we need trimmed. What a crazy day.
Eventually we did get to the park. On the way to the park we looked for numbers on houses and signs. On the way back home we had an R search. We found a LOT of R’s on the way home.
At the park we fed the ducks. The kids loved it. We’ve talked about ducks all week but today we did a little quacking with them.
