Gage’s grandmother , Mary Jeffries, asked could she come today and share their German heritage of how they celebrate Christmas. She taught the children some words in German like thank you , goodbye and hello. She even brought a nativity set that they use at home ! I had no idea Mary was German ! Thank you Mary for sharing with us why you celebrate Christmas.
Some of you may see coloring sheets in your cubby today. No, I havent lost it ! Some of the kids were talking yesterday about what activities they would like available on the table and someone said ” color Santa.” Coloring sheets are not evil and sometimes serve a good purpose . One reason I sometimes enjoy coloring sheets is the conversation that takes place when you do it with friends.
I think this was the first time a coloring sheet has been placed out this year in our setting . Some of them are pros already !
Christmas program invitations are in your cubby ! You may invite whoever you would like !
