Today went remarkably well. I could hear conscious discipline being used all over our classroom. One of our friends had a hard time during family time and as she went to the calm down spot without prompting her friends said ” We wish you well .” I heard a voice in one of the classrooms today say ” Stop. you may not hit me. Would you like to play with me ?” Conscious Discipline not only helps with behavior problems but it teaches children to use their voice and take responsibility for keeping themselves safe.
One of the fun things we did today was read the book ” We’re Going on a Leaf Hunt ” and then we went on a fall scavenger hunt.
