You know when you are posting a blog and realize within two seconds something else you could have touched on today to expand the kids learning and you totally missed the boat ? Yes.. I just did that. Your child should be able to recite :

What I missed was being able to talk about what ” nimble ” means . Sometimes nursery rhymes use words that we dont often use in normal every day conversation. So , here’s your challenge for the night. When they recite the rhyme to you ask them what nimble means and be prepared to explain it to them.

Small groups watched a 1 minute animated version of ” Jack be Nimble” on the IPAD and then made playdoh candles and used small figures to practice the terms ” in front of” , ” over ” behind ” and ” beside.”
