I would put that background music on as your read about your childs day but sometimes that is irritating and takes a long time to load . Therefore I will spare you. Here are the lyrics incase you want to sing or hum along for yourself.
The Beatles
Lennon/McCartney
Love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love.
There’s nothing you can do that can’t be done.
Nothing you can sing that can’t be sung.
Nothing you can say but you can learn how to play the game
It’s easy.
There’s nothing you can make that can’t be made.
No one you can save that can’t be saved.
Nothing you can do but you can learn how to be you
in time – It’s easy.
All you need is love, all you need is love,
All you need is love, love, love is all you need.
Love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love.
All you need is love, all you need is love,
All you need is love, love, love is all you need.
There’s nothing you can know that isn’t known.
Nothing you can see that isn’t shown.
Nowhere you can be that isn’t where you’re meant to be.
It’s easy.
All you need is love, all you need is love,
All you need is love, love, love is all you need.
All you need is love (all together now)
All you need is love (everybody)
All you need is love, love, love is all you need.
We did more Valetines activities today. There was pink gak to play with.
There were playing cards ( hearts.. get it.. ) cut into puzzles to put together.
There were alphabet matching games
and soft puffy hearts to sort , count and play with.
There was playdoh and a candy box that the kids enjoyed pretending they were making candy with.
During small groups we played Valentines BINGO. The kids love playing BINGO and this is a great way to learn numbers. Do you have a game at home. If not, I am sure dollar tree has one!
As you can see we are still using McKaylas grandmas buttons!
Another thing we did today was take all of our 3D art materials out and reintroduce the kids to them. We talked about how we would use glue to put things together that were flat and how tape might be needed if they were not flat . This was mainly to encourage them to build things with the materials instead of always just painting or gluing flat pieces of paper together. The materials are always there, they just forget to use them.
Kimber built something very interesting.
Lots of thinking about spatial relationships and how to put things together .
Did you know there are letter games behind the door that you come through every day ?
There are many times through the day that I go to take a picture and see a camera pointed back at me.
or that we are asked to POSE for a picture !
Other fun things today were transferring the pom poms with tongs into a valentines shaped ice tray. Fine motor is used during the transfer and math skills are learned with the tray – one on one correspondence.
Getting our finger muscles ready to write.
There was also a matching game with colored hearts. I caught a bride working at this station.
