What is on trees?
The children made the tree out of the blocks yesterday. Last night I picked up some different colors of fall leaves. Pulling them apart was a fine motor activity.
Next the children placed the leaves on the tree. We had orange and green and gold and brown. The girls, especially like the ones with the glitter. What a beautiful tree
We even had a little squirrel to add.
This was a great activity that incorporated cognitive skills as children tried to figure out how and where to place branches and leaves. It was also a great social emotional activity as the children had to work together. And lastly – it was something very tangible to play with as we explore trees.
