We are two days in and already the younger girls are getting used to our routines. The older girls pitch in and help remind them “ you forgot to take off your shoes “ or “wash your hands.”
We saw new friendships form today between older girls and the younger.
Extra time was spent outside today. It’s always amazing to me when you see what research tells you will happen begin to play out before your eyes. When going outside it takes children a good hour of independent play and exploration before the complex play and relationship building starts. I don’t know why I’m always amazed when it starts.
Even rest time was easier today. There was only one little cried for a minute. I sat beside her until she calmed down and now she’s sleeping peacefully.
