Christmas is a Comin’
Today I showed the children my Christmas decorations and we talked about how they would like to decorate our play areas.
They loved my Santa collection
I added our trees to the playroom. We had to move around the furniture. Anytime you move around furniture and toys it usually sparks a new interest in old toys. And that is exactly what happened. There was so much cooking today.
There were so many amazing successes today.
One friend was angry. He took himself to the calm down area/ safe spot. . He came out 15 minutes later and said “ Look ! I’m not mad anymore.” We high fived and he went on about his day. ❤️
Many of our friends were doing art. One of our friends had stickers that have facial features. All of the mouths we gone . One of the boys said “ I can’t draw.” . He tried. He said “ it’s not a very good one. “ One of his friends said “you’re learning you’re learning.!” Someone else said “once you watch them draw and draw and you get good at it. “ So much wisdom from a 5 year old.
If I had the children sitting at a table coloring a Christmas tree we would all these amazing learning experiences.
