JackoLantern Carving

Published on October 25, 2011 under Halloween

This morning was so good it was almost eerie.   Have you ever been in a room that is normally full of noise and bustle and realized it was quiet and thought wow… something is going on here.  I guess the children were all just settled and content today.

We did some size sorting.

Dot to Dots on a laminated sheet.

We used dry erase markers to put faces on a real pumpkin.

You could even write letters on the pumpkin.

With favorite activities we also learn to wait our turn patiently.

We spelled words with our letter tiles.

We finger painted.

And then..we went outside to carve our jackolantern. Before carving we graphed what kind of face we walked him to have  and of couse… SCARY won .
