Rain, rain, stay away!

Rain, rain, stay away!

>It is not often that we get the best of both worlds, but today we got rain AND outside playtime! We headed out early to try to beat the rain, and apparently it had been sprinkling before we went out, because water was dripping from the leaves of the trees. We did not care, though! Ms. Beth got us new buckets and paint brushes, so we had a great time “painting” the sidewalk, playhouse, and outside toys all around the playground. We also got new three new beach balls that were fun to toss around and throw to each other on the front lawn. We did a spray painting activity on the fence with a big piece of paper that we sprayed with blue, green and turquoise to create an ocean scene for tomorrow’s art projects.

We came back in to have our circle time. In circle time, we did the Tootie-Tah song, and the Months of the Year song. We played two games of Fish, Fish, Shark, and read The Clumsy Crab, Water, and One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish.

After lunch, we did a science “experiemnt” to guess what would happen to the capsules Ms. Beth bought at the store if we put them in water. We will soon see whose predictions were correct!

Adam's Mom

Adam was so excited when I told him that he could bring his frog books to school today. He loves to “read” to his baby sister. Sounds like you guys had a really fun day.
