A Party of 5

>Today I only had FIVE little ones with me. It was quiet, but almost too quiet. We miss our friends when they are away. Monday we should have all present and accounted for.
We finished our F-Day projects and they turned out so sweet! I know the daddies are going to get a kick out of them and cherish them forever! We talked about how we were going to give them to our daddies on Father’s Day. One child said “Just wait until your dad is sleeping on the couch, and put it by his head. Then, when he wakes up from his nap, he will see it!” Too funny!
We finished out Danny and the Dinosaur week of our curriculum, and read the books we checked out at the library yesterday afternoon. One was full of “life-sized” pictures of prehistoric animals that lived when the dinosaurs did. It was really interesting. One animal’s head was so big it needed a 4-page fold-out! The kids really were amazed by this book. We will definitely read it again. We also read and listened to a book before lunch called Peanut Butter and Jelly.
(Can you guess what we had for lunch?)
We had a picnic outside today-it was very peaceful. We ate our sandwiches under the umbrella at the picnic table on the front lawn, and aside from a spider crawling on top of the umbrella, it was perfect. We said hello to the neighbors walking by and the boy walking his dog. So nice that we get the opportunity to do things like that. I am blessed!
