The monitor disappointment

>Over a year ago  our monitor broke.   We really missed having it but the old one stayed in the shop for atleast a year until they finally said, we cant fix it.  We found one on Ebay that is compatible to our cameras and bought it!  We were so excited today to find the box waiting for us on the front porch.  When we opened it , it looked like a dragon under the screen, not a good sign.  Being optimistic we went ahead and plugged it in.  To no surprise, it did nothing.   I can’t believe it!  They are picking it up on Monday and shipping another one out the same day. I  I hope the next one works.  This group of kiddos has never seen the monitor working so we were telling them about it.  We explained how we could see everywhere with it.   Sometimes Randy gets distracted in the green room singing or reading a story and drama is going on in the dress up room. No one knows….what happened.  When we explained that now  , we would always know . One of the little boys said Uh oh.   Yep.  Uh Oh is right….

Today has been a normal day. We read, we sang, we played, we painted and we did all the things kids do best .
Oh a high note – I got a call from a lady today that said NorthSide had recommended me for three year olds ! This might not sound  like a big deal to you, but it is to me.   It is a validation of sorts .. It really made my day — well, until the monitor deal.  🙂
Have a great weekend.

I love all the games!! And seriously, we’re going to have to move into a bigger house before Elliot can take that airplane home! 🙂

Okay, I read every post since the start – so many cute pics and stories! Christmas makes me insane and I swear it takes me a month OR MORE to get back into a groove! Today looked so fun! Katie told me all about the Groundhog, and how he didn’t see his shadow, and then Gracie gets in the car, and says he DID see his shadow, and the fight ensued…haha – thanks for all the great pictures and videos –
